Hi everyone-just wanted to give a quick update on things.
The first big news is I am going to have a baby sister!! the drs. told mommy that the baby is a girl and she is perfect..so now we just have to wait on her. Mommy and daddy are going to name her Jerika.
I had my cleft repair on July 15 and all went well. The drs did have a hard time getting a breathing tube in again so the had to use a fiber optic scope. It took them an hour to just get a tube in!They said my tonsils were very big and I had a small airway. I am now being followed by an ENT (ear, nose, and throat dr) for these problems. I go back to him after the first of next yr-so it isn't anything to serious. After my surgery the drs. decided to leave my tube in until all swelling went doen and I stayed in the PICU. My tube came out the next day and I did very well and got to come home the next day-this was the best recovery I had from any of my surgeries so far! My repair went well and I don't see that dr again for a year!
The last thing is I got my new AFO's for my feet. These help me stand flat-footed and I wear them when I am working on my standing and eventually walking. I like them ok-although they sometimes bother me-I am getting used to them.
